Job Title:  Senior Equipment Reliability Manager

Job Purpose

Manage the development and execution of Engineering Equipment Reliability (ER)   processes, the preventative maintenance program which includes the Maintenance Rule Program, Single Point of Vulnerability (SPV) program, monitoring of the SAP PM Master database and PM support to the maintenance function, and the Predictive Maintenance (PdM), Thermal Performance and Grid Engineering support to Component Engineering, System Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations at Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) with specialist skills and knowledge.

Key Activities, Responsibility & Accountability

Equipment Reliability 
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:  
•    Manage the development, implementation, and execution of engineering equipment reliability (ER) process, consistent with INPO AP-913 Equipment Reliability Process (including Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR)) requirements and Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) expectations, to maintain high levels of safe and reliable plant operation in an efficient manner. Incorporate lessons learned from reference plant, i.e., Saeul 1 and 2, and industry best practices.
•    Manage development, implementation, and execution of the Single Point Vulnerability (SPV) program including development of elimination, mitigation and bridging strategies, to identify, monitor and protect against risks associated with SPVs.
•    .Manage the development, implementation and execution of the Maintenance Rule program to ensure it adheres to the applicable standards and guidelines and provides the desired benefits.
•    Ensure adequate knowledge and collaboration with other ER functions i.e. Operations, Maintenance, Outage and Work Management to ensure a well-aligned approach to ER and engage them in understanding their roles and responsibilities in equipment reliability.
•    Provide support to stakeholder engagements in other functional areas such as Operations, Maintenance, Work Management, Training, Safety and Engineering in the execution of ER process.

Predictive Maintenance (PdM), Thermal Performance and Grid Engineering
Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 
•    Manage the implementation of Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Program including PdM technologies and initiatives to support improved plant operations and reliability. 
•    Manage the implementation of the Thermal Performance program to ensure tracking and trending throughout the plant for identification and recovery of lost megawatts.
•    Manage the Grid Engineering interface with external stakeholders (Emirates Water and Electricity Company, TAQA Transmission Company, Department of Energy and ENEC Commercial), Generation Plan development and compliance to the Electrical Transmission Code (ETC) and Metering and Data Exchange code (MDEC).

Licensing Support
Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 
•    Ensure the prompt response and provision of program related information as appropriate when requested by Licensing to support regulatory requests.
•    Respond to FANR Requests for Additional Information (RAI) when required.

Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support
Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 
•    Support outage and/or the ERO, as assigned, to ensure safe, reliable and continued operations; this may require shift work/off hours support.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related Science

Experience

•    10 to 12 years of relevant experience, out of which:
-    4 years in a Managerial role.
2 years of Nuclear Power Plant engineering experience
