Job Purpose

The purpose of this position is to represent Nawah Security in coordinating and aligning with internal and external stakeholders to help deliver proportionate and agreed security actions in support of Nawah outage. This is to be achieved through the effective and efficient use of resources from the Plant Security Operations Department to manage and maintain compliance with security regulatory requirements and ensure safe, reliable, and secure plant commercial operations.
 

Key Activities, Responsibility & Accountability

Coordinate with and report to the Plant Security Operations Manager on the logistics and timing of security oversight and support needed for planned outages. 
•    Help plan security operations for outages by attending meetings and coordinating with the stakeholders involved in Nawah Outage Team respectively to understand requirements and logistics and to ultimately prepare security support actions through use of resources in the Plant Security Operations Department.
•    Prepare and input to the execution of requirements that ensure that Security Outage is integrated as part of the security program, meet regulatory (FANR) requirements, and support efficient and effective plant operations. 
•    Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all Physical Security Operations and documentation by adhering to applicable standards and procedures i.e., Information Protection Program Manual (IPPOM).
•    Oversee outage security planning and activities to ensure compliance with regulations, nuclear industry best practices, and Nawah standards.Prior to outages, attend stakeholder meetings on behalf Nawah Security and provide inputs to help inform overall planning for outages, providing regular feedback on outage planning stages and seeking inputs and advice from the Plant Security Operations Manager and Physical Security Director.
•    Perform walkdowns with the Nawah Outage team, agreed members of the Plant Security Operations Department (where applicable), and NGC to determine the extent of required security measures on site.
•    Seek inputs and learning from the Threat and Risk Section and Compliance and Training Department (security drills and exercises) to help inform security planning and address any gaps that may have been identified through these functions in relation to outage security.
•    Coordinate and oversee the security search of any equipment that is required for an outage to ensure actions are executed to plan and are comply with requirements.
•    During an outage, attend daily outage calls and outage working group meetings representing security interests and provide support as needed, communicating any new requirements and/or changes to the Plant Security Operations Department.
•    Perform critical path look ahead walk downs are required in support of security assurance activity and ensuring agreed security measures are in place.
•    Post outage, coordinate and support the transfer of equipment out of the plant as per agreed plans and to ensure procedures comply with security requirements.
•    Support the line manager through meetings, this includes agenda planning, recording, and following up on agreed actions for all security operation related activities.
•    Share information and knowledge and enabling cooperative working relationships across Security teams.
•    Provide input into the development of the Division’s systems, processes, and procedures, as well develop and implement the Department’s systems and processes.
•    Identifying potential areas of improvement to ensure efficient, effective, safe and risk-free operations as well as compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.      Promote and support a culture of compliance, risk avoidance/mitigation and corporate accountability throughout the organization.
•    Work with internal/ external auditors and technical subject matter experts to satisfy internal and external audit requirements and compliance.

Experience

Diploma with 3 y experience 
High school with 7 y experience

Preferred - 
Bachelor’s Degree

2 years’ supervisory experience in nuclear security.
