Job Title: Principal Engineer
Job Purpose
Perform and Support Nuclear Design related activities of the fuel cycle management division to ensure alignment with the safety designs, plant and operation plans and ENEC's strategy.
Key Activities, Responsibility & Accountability
Position Key Activities and Responsibilities:
• Activity: Nuclear Design Reload Activities
o Lead, perform, document, and review ND calculations to the concerned areas in the PSAR and FSAR reports in accordance with ENEC procedures and guidelines approved by FANR.
o Provide solutions to resolve first-of-a-kind Nuclear Design related issues during all phases of plant operation (startup, shutdown, and normal operation).
o Lead the development design methodology, calculations, and licensing documents to be used for establishing ENEC capabilities. These may include first-of-a-kind activities.
o Support the review and update of the licensing basis and Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) sections to ensure accuracy of the reports.
o Support the generation of economical core designs that meet safety, licensing and operational requirements while maximizing the economic benefits.
• Activity: Plant Support Activities
o Oversee the evaluation of plant parameters and fuel design changes on Nuclear Design area and the incorporation into the setpoints analysis to allow flexibility and safe operation of fuel.
o Support in first-of-a-kind requests from ENEC Operations team during plant operation, plant startup, and Power Ascension Testing (PAT) including Low-Power Physics Testing (LPPT) and COLSS/CPCS testing.
o Support in the troubleshoot of unexpected plant system responses.
• Activity: Knowledge Transfer
o Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing in a way that assists with building internal capabilities of UAE Nationals where applicable and maximize their effective performance in Nuclear Design area.
o Support the conduction of required training, qualification, and On the Job Training (OJT) by providing appropriate feedback on results to ensure the delivery of quality staff training.

Academic qualification - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Experience
12+ years of relevant experience in nuclear core design of APR1400 or similar plants
Language proficiency: English: Per OR-PRC-0001, Nawah Nuclear English Standard Procedure
