Job Title: Lead Maintenance MMIS Technician
Job Purpose
Lead and perform instrumentation maintenance work teams and Man-Machine Interface System (MMIS) activities respectively to ensure that all job task are performed in a timely manner with the requisite quality in order to achieve operational readiness and to operate the plant with the highest level of safety and reliability. Review maintenance work packages and other documentation to ensure and improve quality. Support the Quality Assurance (QA) process and follow the regulatory requirements, operating policies and principles, nuclear standards for nuclear safety, industrial safety, and environmental protection, to ensure overall business performance objectives are achieved.
Key Activities, Responsibility & Accountability
Leadership/ Supervisory Support
• Stand-in for the Supervisor or Head (FIN) during the period of absence from the plant (Leave, sickness, training) and meetings as required to ensure overall supervisory support is available.
• Support the leadership of the team and sub-teams as required during work on the field in the plant.
• Lead other maintenance teams as required to ensure supervision is provided in the absence of another team supervisor/ Head.
• Demonstrate high standards of Human Performance, Maintenance Fundamentals and LEAD behaviors to ensure competent supervision is provided.
• Continuously achieve and retain a significant number of technical competencies as per training qualification matrix to maintain technical competence for the position
Instrumentation MMIS Maintenance
• Lead and perform instrumentation maintenance activities and surveillances on MMIS systems to ensure safe and reliable operation of the plant.
• Review work packages for operation and outage maintenance activities to increase systems availability.
• Participate in the technical review of service contract documents and manage the contractor to ensure best maintenance practices.
• Review the overall maintenance outage plan and schedule for better understanding of the processes.
• Consolidate the list of spare parts and secure critical spare parts to ensure system operability.
• Implement maintenance and surveillance test procedure changes and updates to ensure safe plant operation.
• Review equipment master list developed by engineering or others and requests to incorporate in Operation Management System (OMS) to improve knowledge of the implemented programs.
• Implement foreign material exclusion (FME) program in accordance with the program requirements and guidelines to ensure plant safety and reliability.
• Implement Corrective Action Program (CAP) and support to analyze, address, and correct deficiencies.
• Support in producing a high standard self-assessment to provide for useful self-criticality and continuous improvement.
• Execute troubleshooting process on MMIS systems and equipment to ensure that issues are resolved correctly and in a timely manner.
• Attend pre- and post-job briefings and oversee maintenance teams performing tasks to ensure alignment with the maintenance standards and procedures in Nawah.
• Comply with Maintenance Code of Conduct procedures and guidelines to ensure the safety and reliability of the plants.
• Document equipment history reports following maintenance on systems, structures and components.
• Take out Clearances under which maintenance work is performed where required.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities (contd.)
Quality Assurance
• Verify that all work carried out is of the highest standards of safety and quality, and in compliance with the department and company-wide quality assurance program, to effectively support safe and reliable plant operation.
• Oversee the contractors performing MMIS maintenance tasks to ensure alignment of mechanical maintenance activities.
• Participate in continuous learning and application of industry best practices to maintain the highest quality of maintenance workmanship.
• Identify and respond to maintenance quality related issues and plant equipment deficiencies to line management to support rapid resolution of quality issues.
• Collaborate with quality assurance (QA), Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) audit and international peer reviews (World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) and Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO)) to implement best practices from other plants.
Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support
• Support outage and/or the emergency response organization, as assigned, to ensure safe, reliable and continued operations; this may require shift work/off hours support.
Professional Certifications
Qualifications
Minimu requirement:
• High School Certification.
• 8 years of relevant experience, out of which:
- 1 year is Nuclear Power Plant experience.
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering.
Experience
