Job Purpose

ENEC has defined Growth as a key objective in its strategy, and this role will lead the delivery of new Growth developments and investments in new projects

Key Activities, Responsibility & Accountability

Business analysis
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:  
•    Collect information, perform research, and analyze assets, using micro level information such as company financial statements, price developments, or macro level including country energy and industrial policies, currency adjustments, climate change, and emerging industries and service sectors, notably those related to nuclear activities
•    Monitor and analyze market trends and industry developments to identify risks and opportunities for the investment portfolioFinancial analysis and modeling

Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 
•    Develop and maintain financial models to support investment analysis, including discounted cash flow models, sensitivity analyses, and scenario analyses
•    Conduct thorough financial analysis, including financial modeling, valuation, and forecasting, to support investment decision-making
•    develop and implement relevant sensitivity analysis for investment files and collaborate across internal functions to develop financial model inputs and assumptions while maintaining accuracy of inputs into financial modelsInvestment preparation

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
•    Establish investment analysis in cooperation with Enterprise CFOs and VP BD&I, as well as shareholders / co-investors in Abu Dhabi
•    Contribute to developing ENEC’s financial standards for BD and Investments
•    Identify main project economic and financial risks and advise on the appropriate mitigation factors and definition of appropriate contingencies
•    Prepare and present investment recommendations to senior management, including investment memos and presentations
•    Collaborate with investment team members to develop and implement investment strategies and portfolio construction recommendations
•    Participate in due diligence activities, including analyzing financial statements, conducting company and industry research, and identifying potential risks and opportunities
•    Support and possibly lead interactions with lenders and investors from origination to financial close, including plain vanillas debt and equity, structured products, EBLs, hedging, mini perms, refinancing, stress scenarios, etc.
•    Build the investment financial modeling practice for ENEC BD&I, and provide mentorship and guidance to junior investment team members
•    Develop, analyze, evaluate, and recommend financial options and proposals as they relate to business development projects and acquisitions, or other funding needs
•    Support internal approvals process for new economic commitments and associated financing arrangements
•    Support the structuring, negotiation, and execution of financing documents for medium to large size transactions, in accordance with best project finance practices of the ENEC group

Professional Certifications

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance or business, accounting, statistics. Degrees in math or financial disciplines. 

CFA certification preferred

Experience

6 to 7 years of relevant experience.
