Job Title: Head of Organizational Learning
Job Purpose
Manage the implementation of NPI programs at Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) units, ensuring the program elements and tools are implemented in accordance with the approved programs’ governance documentations and procedures, nuclear industry standards and regulatory requirements to ensure BNPP is a self-critical, learning organization through the implementation of continuous improvement programs such as Causal Analysis, Corrective Action Program (CAP), Self-Assessment (SA), Benchmarking (BM), Operating Experience (OE) and Performance Monitoring.
Key Activities, Responsibility & Accountability
NPI Program Implementation
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Manage implementation of continuous improvement programs to ensure Nawah meet regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and mentorship to the NPI staff to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for them to effectively implement the various NPI elements for continuous improvement.
• Manage and guide communication and evaluation of lessons learned, in collaboration with central NPI management, within Nawah organization to ensure vital information is communicated throughout the organization.
• Provide updates to Plant management and central NPI management, on the continuous performance improvement in the assigned nuclear power plant units to ensure close tracking of progress.
Plant NPI Process Administration
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Provide the Plant Management and Corporate NPI with technical presentations, graphs and documentation to articulate the results of the department’s analysis and support.
• Review reports of CAP, OE, SA and BM activities and performance in the assigned plant units to identify areas where additional support and oversight may be required.
• Manage the implementation of assigned responsibilities articulated in NPI’s Governance, Oversight, Support and Perform (GOSP) model to align with model requirements.
• Oversee counseling of plant functions in the assigned BNPP Units to ensure effective implementation of Nuclear Performance Improvement processes and programs
• Lead as the CAP, OE, SA and BM single point of contact for issues/concerns related to the respective BNPP Units and undertaking observation and coaching of personnel to improve organizational performance.Verify CAP daily forum is properly led to ensure personnel have access to accurate information, share concerns and build team cohesion as well as share best practice.
• Manage the preparation of analysis and clarifications that reflect the status of CAP activities and trends, as required to summarize key CAP activities.
• Manage pre-screening activities and report preparation for Corrective Action Review Boards (CARB) and Condition Report Screening Committee (CRSC) with accurate information to assist in conducting a productive meeting.
• Monitor the processing of Action Requests (CRs) for assignment or re-screening as needed to align with screening results.
• Oversee the trending and reporting of ARs for the assigned BNPP units, based on Nawah Condition Report Process Codes and Keyword Codes, based on Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) / World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) AR codes to align with industry standards.
• Oversee the review, assessment and provide structured feedback on Causal Evaluations including: Basic Cause Evaluations (BCEs) and Apparent Cause Evaluations (ACEs) to improve accuracy and completeness.
• Oversee the review, assessment and provide structured feedback on Corrective Actions for accuracy and completeness to ensure parties are aware of key information.
• Oversee the peer review of CAP documentation, reports and information to verify completeness.
• Ensure the Departmental CAP Champions meeting is appropriately lead to ensure a productive meeting.
• Manage the creation of monthly CAP Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Health Index to provide insights on organizational performance.

Professional Certifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or technical degree, or Master’s degree with emphasis in organizational excellence.
Experience
• Experience working at, or with, WANO / INPO.
• 3 years of experience in a Nuclear Performance Improvement role.
• Strong background in the implementation of performance improvement programs.
• Experience in causal analysis, including root cause analysis.
