Job Purpose - (UAE National Only)

Manage and lead the technical Materials Procurement activities ensuring the preparation tendering and admiration of 
Nuclear safety related Materials and operational Materials to post award activities ensuring all requirement are met in 
quality, on delivery, best process ensuring, BNPP safely operated. Advise Materials category team to establish long term  
agreement to meet Nawah requirement. As well as support the PSC team in the qualification of suppliers to ensure 
consistency in application of procurement processes, and end user satisfaction

Material Procurement 
Responsibilities and Accountabilities 
 Mange and lead the procurement, tracking, expediting and delivery of materials for plant maintenance and 
modifications, utilizing planning, scheduling, maintenance management and business information systems, 
including the procurement of safety and non-safety related, and augmented quality parts to ensure quality and 
quantity of the materials procured are as per the Nawah’s requirements and standards.  
 Evaluate the Material Procurement needs and apply industry best practices to provide efficient procurement of 
material and to ensure the procurement mandate is executed within budgetary projections. 
 Support Material Procurement team for the procurement of materials to ensure that staff has appropriate 
understanding of the specifications and scope of work. 
 Manage the integration of all Technical / Quality, Requesting Organization and Health, Safety and Environment 
(HSE) requirements in all associated procurement documents to ensure that the requirements are the aligned with 
Nawah procurement standards. 
 Manage all aspects of high-value high-risk procurements, or any other procurements as directed by management 
to ensure that business requirements are met.  
 Advise the Vendor Relationship / Qualification Management and Quality Assurance in the qualification of nuclear 
suppliers including reviewing and screening of supplier's inputs to develop nuclear supplier base within UAE 
related to projects. 
 Develop material procurement strategies to ensure security of supply. 
 Lead the Material Procurement activities in the tendering process, including document preparation, negotiation and 
acquiring approvals to ensure adherence to Supply Chain policies and procedures. 
 Lead the preparation of a robust and commercially driven business case to support recommendations for award, 
proving assurance to management that the best agreement has been obtained. 
 Mange/Conduct negotiation meeting as per DoA and manages the process of commercial, financial and 
contractual negotiation of bids  
 Plan and conduct visits to operating site/End User on regular basis to exchange relevant information, provide 
clarification and address mutual areas of concern.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 
 Control and oversee all Request for quotation (RFQ) and Request for proposal (RFP) activities to ensure 
compliance with the required policies and procedures. 
 Control the planning, developing and purchasing of the nuclear – related materials, parts, supplies and 
equipment’s in a timely and cost effective way; while maintaining appropriate quality standards and 
specifications. 
 lead and guide the tendering process, opening of technical bids and commercial bids technical evaluation 
and approve final selection to ensure adherence to the procedure.  
 lead the monitoring of price changes of stock items on a regular basis in order to review trends in the market. 
 Liaise with the Martial Management organization to implement strategic initiatives, fleet procurement and 
warehouse to ensure compliance with contracted obligations

Professional Certifications

Qualifications

 Bachelor’s Degree in Business 
Administration, Supply Chain, Materials 
Management or Equivalent field.Master’s degree in Business 
Administration, Supply Chain, Materials 
Management or Equivalent. 

Experience

 6  to 8 years of relevant experience
