Job Purpose

Develop and implement the ENEC and UAE nuclear research and development program and establish strategic R&D relationships with domestic and international research partners to support UAE national strategy for advanced innovation.

Activity:Nuclear Research Program Development
Responsibility:
•Prepare and implement the appropriate strategies and systems to ensure effective coordination, monitoring and evaluation of research work.
•Develop and guide business plans and business cases to ensure availability of funds for research purposes.

Collaboration and Partnership within R&D program
Responsibility:
•Provide support in promoting ENEC and the UAE Nuclear Program to establish strategic R&D relationships with research partners.
•Provide support in establishing a framework to enable collaborations and partnerships with leading international research and development institutions and programs.
•Provide support in establishing contractual agreements with research and development entities to maximize intellectual property for the UAE.
•Conduct research and development benchmarking with international programs to identify best practices and opportunities.

Scholarships and Training
Responsibility: In collaborate with Scholarship, Career Development and CPT teams:
•Provide support in aligning Scholarships with the R&D needs of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in order to build subject matter expertise capabilities.
•Provide support in developing and implementing R&D competency development framework, and training and secondment programs for ENEC enterprise employees in order to develop research and development subject matter expertise in the organization.

Policies and Procedures
Responsibility:
•Develop and implement processes, procedures, and other controlled documents to ensure alignment with performance and safety parameters.

HSE, Security & Continuity of Operation
Responsibility:
•Takes personal responsibility for safety; follow company HSE policies, procedures and instructions; avoid complacency and continuously challenge existing conditions and activities in order to identify discrepancies that might result in error or in appropriate action; report any situation that could present a hazard; not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided at the workplace in the interest of health, safety, welfare or protection or management of the environment.
•Follow all relevant Security policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on self, others and Corporate assets.
•Ensure compliance with corporate requirements for adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to Crisis Management and Business Continuity in order to continue mission-critical activities.
